What they need

About the Role

Be part of a global leader multinational company providing geotechnical data and cutting-edge technology to drive sustainable development across energy and infrastructure sectors.

We are looking for a detail‑oriented and technically minded Technical Data Processor to support our ship/vessel operations by ensuring the accurate preparation, structuring, and entry of technical data into our Planned Maintenance System (PMS). This role is essential in maintaining the quality and reliability of asset information used across our fleet.

You will review and interpret OEM manuals, class/flag documentation, engineering drawings, service reports, and other technical references to create clean, consistent datasets that underpin effective maintenance planning, compliance, and operational readiness. Thus, (maritime) technical background and knowledge are needed for this role.

You will be part of an international team and therefore working within the team as well as working on your own activities with minimum supervision is essential. This is a hybrid role, allowing you to work from home on selected days.

Key responsibilities:

·         Assess and interpret technical documentation such as equipment manuals, datasheets, certificates, and engineering drawings.

·         Prepare structured data for import into the PMS, including:

o   Equipment registers

o   Maintenance job plans

o   Spare parts lists

o   Tools, consumables, and safety requirements

·         Verify data accuracy and completeness, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues with vessel teams, superintendents, and OEMs.

·         Standardise data according to company taxonomy, naming conventions, and class/compliance requirements (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM).

·         Support system updates, ensuring that modifications, new installations, or equipment changes are correctly reflected in the PMS.

·         Coordinate with technical stakeholders—to maintain a reliable, high‑quality dataset.

·         Assist with data migration for system upgrades, newbuilds, or acquisitions.

·         Contribute to continuous improvement, enhancing data workflows, templates, and processes.

·         Maintenance specialist (extra responsibility), depending on your experience and background, you may also take on additional responsibilities (with corresponding compensation) supporting our PMS Engineers in more technical and analytical activities aimed at improving asset reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:

·         Secondary Vocational Education or higher.

·         Degree in Maritime-related Engineering, Data Science, or similar is a plus.

·         Strong ability to read and understand technical documentation (OEM manuals, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, GA drawings, specifications).

·         High attention to detail and accuracy.

·         Experience with data entry, data processing, or technical administration.

·         Good Excel/data handling skills.

·         Strong command of English (written and spoken)

Preferred:

·         1-3 years of experience with maritime Planned Maintenance Systems (e.g., StarIPS, AMOS, Maximo, BASSnet, NS5, TM Master, etc.).

·         Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or marine systems.

·         Experience in the maritime, offshore, or energy sector.

·         Familiarity with asset management or maintenance best practices.

Key competencies:

·         Analytical and methodical approach to work

·         Strong organisational skills

·         Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

·         Clear communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders

·         Commitment to data quality and continuous improvement
