Position Overview:
The Vegas Thrill is seeking a skilled, organized Technical Delegate to serve as the on-site technical lead for VolleyStation systems at Major League Volleyball (MLV) matches. This role sets up, operates, monitors, and troubleshoots the network, scoring, camera, tablet, and streaming systems that support match-day operations.
The Technical Delegate works closely with venue staff, officials, the statistics team, and remote operations support to keep technical systems reliable and matches running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
Venue Coordination and Equipment Setup

  • Set up and break down all league-provided VolleyStation equipment; coordinate hardwired internet access with venue IT.
  • Assemble and configure routers, switches, access points, and LAN components; hardwire laptops, PTZ cameras, the LED scorebox, and tablets.
  • Log in to Slack and maintain active communication with Operations throughout the event.

Scoring and Match Configuration

  • Configure and test the LED scorebox using VS Referee and the UniFi control panel; verify audio output and synchronization with arena systems.
  • Retrieve the match key, create the match in VS Referee, and ensure match data is backed up.
  • Enter and verify rosters, captains, liberos, and jersey numbers; configure timeouts, breaks, and intermissions as required.

Cameras Tablets and Timing Systems

  • Mount and connect PTZ cameras using LAN or Power over Ethernet (PoE); identify camera IP addresses in UniFi, access camera interfaces, and adjust framing.
  • Confirm camera feeds are visible in Magewell/AntMedia and verify functionality with remote support staff.
  • Set up coach, statistics, referee, and serve-clock tablets; assign QR codes and verify timing displays with venue personnel.

Streaming and Backup Operations

  • Configure VS Streamer with the RTMP link, resolution, and required file-naming format; coordinate stream start times with the statistics team and remote operations.
  • Upload the final match recording after the event.
  • Maintain a backup laptop with VS Referee and UniFi panels preloaded; assume scoring or streaming duties if equipment fails.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues promptly and perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong technical background in networking, hardware, and live event systems.
  • Proficiency with LAN and Wi-Fi networks, routers, switches, and IP-based devices.
  • Familiarity with streaming workflows, PTZ cameras, RTMP, and synchronization tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot quickly and accurately under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Professional communication skills and the ability to coordinate with venue staff, officials, and remote teams.
  • Ability to organize equipment, run cables, and work effectively in a fast-paced venue environment.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Prior experience in sports operations or technical event production preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Walk frequently between work areas and stand for extended periods as operational needs require.
  • Bend, stoop, reach, lift, and carry repeatedly while setting up and operating equipment.
  • Move, push, or pull materials and equipment and safely navigate the venue throughout the shift.

How to Apply:
Apply through TeamWork Online with your resume and a brief summary of your experience with live event technology, networking, scoring systems, or streaming.
