Technical Design Head

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Manage the technical design department and provide strategic direction on building science, materials, and constructability.
• Design Execution: Translate architectural concepts into detailed construction drawings, technical plans, and specifications.
• Quality Control: Establish and enforce quality assurance protocols for project documentation to minimize design errors and construction issues.
• Code Compliance: Lead feasibility studies and zoning reviews, ensuring designs comply with local building codes, life safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
• Team Management: Mentor, train, and oversee junior architects, architects, and other design staff while promoting technical excellence.
• Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Collaborate with other departments, including MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire Protection), engineers, and implementation teams to ensure coordinated project execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Licensure: Licensed Architect is an advantage but not required.
• Software Proficiency: Proficient in CAD, AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of architectural design, construction principles, building materials, and applicable local building codes.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, planning, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Experience: Proven experience in preparing construction documents and working across various stages of project development.
