Technical Development Officer for Competition

About the role

The Philippine Football Federation is seeking a Technical Development Officer for Competition to join our growing team on a full-time basis at our facility in Carmona, Cavite. This is a strategic position within our coaching and instruction division, playing a vital role in developing our competition infrastructure and supporting the technical advancement of football programs across the Philippines. You will be instrumental in fostering competitive excellence whilst ensuring our development pathways meet international standards.

What you'll be doing

• Developing and implementing technical competition standards and guidelines across all groups and competition levels
• Coordinating with coaches and technical staff to ensure consistency in coaching methodologies and player development approaches
• Assessing and evaluating competition formats, fixtures and scheduling to optimize player development outcomes
• Providing technical support and guidance to coaches participating in federation competitions
• Monitoring and analyzing player performance data to identify talent and development opportunities
• Collaborating with domestic and international partners to align competition structure with best practices
• Organizing coaching workshops and technical seminars to up skill coaching staff
• Maintaining detailed records and reports on competition outcomes and player progression
• Contributing to the development of long-term competition and player development strategies

What we're looking for

• A recognized coaching qualification or higher, with continued commitment to professional development
• Minimum 5 years' experience in football coaching or technical development roles, preferably within a competitive or developmental environment
• Demonstrable knowledge of modern coaching methodologies and player development frameworks
• Strong understanding of competition structure, formats and their impact on player development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with coaches, administrators and other stakeholders
• Proven organizational and project management capabilities
• Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to utilize performance metrics to inform decision-making
• A passion for football development and a commitment to raising standards within Philippine football
• Flexibility to travel within the Philippines for competitions and training programs as required
• Preferred experience working within a national federation or governing body structure
