Technical Development Officer for Youth Development

About the role

The Philippine Football Federation is seeking a Technical Development Officer for Youth Development to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in Carmona, Cavite, playing a crucial role in developing and implementing technical training programs for young footballers across the Philippines. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying talent, designing coaching curricula, and ensuring the delivery of world-class technical instruction to youth players. This position is instrumental in building the foundation for the future of Philippine football and directly supports the Federation's strategic objectives of developing competitive national teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop appropriate technical training programs aligned with international football development standards

• Assess and evaluate the technical proficiency of youth footballers at various development levels

• Conduct coaching workshops and training sessions for youth players and coaching staff

• Identify talented young players and provide recommendations for advancement to higher development pathway

• Monitor and track player progress through structured assessment frameworks and performance metrics

• Collaborate with regional football associations to implement consistent technical development strategies nationwide

• Develop coaching materials, instructional resources and training documentation for youth development programs

• Provide mentorship and support to youth coaches to enhance their technical knowledge and delivery capabilities

• Organize and coordinate youth development camps, tournaments and competitive opportunities

• Maintain detailed records of player assessments, training programs and developmental outcomes

What we're looking for

• A recognized coaching qualification (UEFA B Level, AFC Pro Diploma or equivalent) in football/soccer

• Minimum 5 years' experience in football coaching, with particular focus on youth development or academy settings

• Demonstrated expertise in technical football training and player assessment methodologies

• Strong knowledge of modern youth development principles, including talent identification and long-term player development models

• Experience in designing and delivering training programs for multiple groups

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with players, coaches and administrators

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment

• Physical fitness and the ability to actively demonstrate technical football skills

• A passion for developing young talent and commitment to the advancement of Philippine football

• Preferably, experience working within a national football federation or equivalent sports organization
