Technical Director

We are seeking a client-facing Project Director to lead the technical solutioning, design authority, and delivery oversight of large-scale data center projects across Thailand and the wider APAC region. This role sits at the intersection of pre-sales, engineering design, and project execution, acting as the senior technical authority for customers throughout the full lifecycle — from bidding and solution development through to delivery and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

Client & Solution Leadership

• Act as the primary technical interface with clients during bidding and project execution
• Lead solutioning, technical proposals, and presentations to senior stakeholders
• Support commercial strategy, including cost planning, system selection, and delivery approach

Design Authority (Core Focus)

• Own and oversee end-to-end MEP design (Electrical & HVAC focus)
• Review and validate: Load calculations, System configurations (MV/LV, cooling, ELV), Design layouts and technical specifications
• Ensure alignment with global data center standards (TIA, BICSI, IEC, IEEE, NFPA)

Project Delivery Oversight

• Provide technical leadership across design → construction → commissioning (TCCF)
• Oversee consultants, contractors, and subcontractors
• Ensure delivery against: Schedule (OTD), Cost control, Quality & safety standards, Technical Governance & Risk
• Identify and manage technical risks across the project lifecycle
• Review and approve: Shop drawings and engineering submissions
• Ensure compliance with internal and international standards

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams (4–20+)
• Coordinate across internal teams, vendors, and client stakeholders

Requirements:

Experience

• 15+ years in data center / mission-critical / EPC / MEP project delivery
• Proven experience across: Bidding / solutioning, design management, project delivery & commissioning
• Experience on large-scale data centers (10MW+ / hyperscale preferred)

Technical Expertise

• Strong background in Electrical or Mechanical (HVAC) engineering
• Deep knowledge of: Power systems (MV/LV, UPS, switchgear), cooling systems (precision cooling, HVAC, liquid cooling), ELV & fire protection systems
• Understanding of data center ecosystem and vendor technologies

Leadership & Client Skills

• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management capability
• Experience presenting to senior leadership / C-level stakeholders
• Strong commercial awareness (bidding, costing, solution positioning)

Tools / Certifications (Preferred)

• PMP or equivalent project certification
• ATD / CDCP
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Primavera, MS Project

• Willingness to travel across Thailand and APAC region
• Key Positioning (Internal Use / Optional for Client Pitch)
• Hybrid role: NOT a pure Project Manager / NOT pure Design Engineer
• Ideally from: Data center **vendors / integrators (e.g. Vertiv, Schneider, Huawei, etc.),**OR strong EPC / PMC with solutioning exposure
• Must combine: Technical depth (MEP), client-facing capability, commercial / bidding exposure
