Technical Director*

Job Purpose:

To lead and coordinate technical production operations for studio, OB, live and digital productions, ensuring reliable, efficient and high-quality delivery through effective use of production technologies, automation systems and technical resources.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Lead technical execution and coordination of studio, OB, live and digital productions in accordance with production requirements and operational standards.
2. Operate and supervise production control systems, including switching, routing, monitoring and automation systems.
3. Coordinate camera, audio, lighting, graphics and other technical resources to support efficient production delivery.
4. Troubleshoot technical and operational issues during rehearsals, live broadcasts and recorded productions to maintain service reliability.
5. Collaborate with production teams and provide cross-functional support across visual, audio and technical operations as required, while driving the adoption of new production technologies, automation workflows and operational best practices.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Diploma or above in Broadcasting Engineering, Media Technology, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years' experience in studio, OB, live production or technical operations environments.
• Good knowledge of production switching systems, routing systems, production control workflows and broadcast operations.
• Familiarity with IP-based production environments, ST 2110, NDI, remote production or production automation systems is an advantage.
• Good communication, teamwork, decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced production environments.
