Technical Director (Data Center Project)

Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary technical leader and trusted advisor to customers, representing the company as Data Center Technical Director.
• Lead cross-functional design teams with a strong focus on electrical or HVAC systems, overseeing full-spectrum responsibilities such as load calculations, system architecture, technical route selection, budget proposals, and master scheduling.
• Drive the end-to-end design delivery from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with global standards and customer expectations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary experts to develop and present strategic solutions to executive stakeholders, both internally and externally.
• Provide technical leadership and clear guidance to subcontractors for shop drawing development and implementation.
• Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring quality and compliance at every stage.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Automation, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in data center design, integration, or turnkey delivery, with solid understanding of bidding processes, international standards, project management, and commissioning protocols such as IST/TCCF.
• Demonstrated experience in large-scale data centers (500+ racks) in design, consultancy, or project management is highly valued.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills with a strong ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Resilient, collaborative, and adaptable to high-pressure environments with a positive, problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity to thrive in multinational teams and client environments.
• Willingness to travel globally, especially within the Asia-Pacific region.

Preferred Certifications (Optional but Advantageous):

• ATD (Accredited Tier Designer) – Uptime Institute
• CDCP (Certified Data Centre Professional) – EPI
• Chartered Engineer (Electrical or MVAC)
