Technical Drafter

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Technical Draughtsman role based in Dubai. The Technical Draughtsman will prepare detailed technical drawings and layouts for playground and adventure equipment, using CAD software and other design tools. Daily tasks include interpreting design briefs, engineering inputs, and client requirements to produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings, plans, and installation details. The role involves coordinating with designers, engineers, project managers, and suppliers to ensure drawings meet safety standards, local regulations, and manufacturing specifications. The Technical Draughtsman will also update and maintain drawing documentation, support project proposals with technical visuals, and assist in resolving design-related issues during production and installation.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in technical drawing and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD or similar CAD software), with the ability to create accurate 2D and 3D plans and layouts.
• Skills in interpreting engineering and architectural documents, including specifications, measurements, and technical standards.
• Knowledge of materials, structural concepts, and basic engineering principles relevant to playground and leisure equipment.
• Attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and capability to review and correct drawings to minimize errors in production and installation.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working closely with design, engineering, project management, and sales teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, on-site work environment.
• Relevant technical diploma or degree in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; experience in playground, leisure, or construction industries is an advantage.
• Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and international playground standards is beneficial.
