Role Description The Technical Draftsman role at IDAK AeroSystems is a full-time, on-site position based in Ankara, Türkiye. This role is responsible for producing accurate technical drawings and detailed engineering documentation for hydraulics and mechanical systems, following aerospace standards and internal design guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating 2D and 3D drawings, interpreting engineering specifications, collaborating with design and manufacturing teams, and ensuring that all documentation is clear, consistent, and ready for production and certification. The Technical Drafter will review and revise drawings based on feedback, maintain drawing databases, and support configuration control and change management processes. The role also involves coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve drawing discrepancies and to ensure that designs are feasible, manufacturable, and aligned with project requirements.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Technical Drawing and Drawing, with the ability to create precise, detailed, and compliant documentation.
• Candidates should possess skills in Engineering Drawings, including familiarity with aerospace standards, tolerances, and dimensioning practices.
• Create, modify, and finalize detailed 2D manufacturing drawings from 3D CAD models for aerospace components (including hydraulics, actuation and mechanical systems).
• Apply strict Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards to ensure manufacturability and high-reliability performance.
• Candidates should possess skills in Architectural Drawings when needed for facility, layout, or structural-related drafting tasks.
• Prepare and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs), revision controls, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA or similar) and experience with PDM/PLM systems is highly beneficial.
• Collaborate closely with design engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to resolve design-for-manufacturability (DFM) queries.
• Relevant technical education in associate’s degree or technical certification in Mechanical Drafting, CAD Technology, Machine Design, or a related field. Mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, drafting/technical drawing, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to interpret technical specifications, and commitment to quality and documentation accuracy are required.
• Ensure all drawings and technical documents comply with internal and international aerospace standards.
• Effective communication skills, ability to work in multidisciplinary teams,
• Proven experience as a Technical Draftsman, preferably in the aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing industries.
