Technical Engineer (Automotive After Sales)

About the role

Provide advanced technical diagnosis and support to authorized dealers and service centers, focusing on complex vehicle issues, root-cause analysis, repair quality, and dealer technical capability. The role covers conventional vehicle systems as well as EV/HEV technologies, including high-voltage batteries, charging systems, electronics, and vehicle software.

Key responsibilities:

• Analyze vehicle faults, DTCs, technical reports, vehicle data, and supporting evidence to identify root causes of complex technical issues.
• Provide technical consultation and remote diagnostic support to authorized dealers and service centers.
• Coordinate advanced investigations for recurring, complex, or unresolved vehicle problems and follow up on repair quality.
• Perform vehicle inspection, component removal, disassembly, assembly, installation, and replacement according to manufacturer procedures.
• Diagnose electrical, electronic, mechanical, high-voltage battery, charging, software, and vehicle communication system issues.
• Read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, repair procedures, technical specifications, and service information.
• Provide technical training, troubleshooting guidance, and case studies to improve dealer technical capability.
• Identify and report product quality concerns, field issues, and potential safety risks to relevant internal and regional teams.
• Support the development and improvement of technical procedures, service bulletins, diagnostic guidelines, and internal standards.

Qualifications:

• Higher Vocational Certificate or Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of automotive technical or diagnostic experience, preferably within an authorized dealership or service center.
• Hands-on experience in vehicle diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and technical problem-solving.
• Experience with EV, HEV, or PHEV systems is highly preferred.
• Good knowledge of automotive electrical/electronic systems, diagnostic tools, DTC analysis, and wiring diagrams.
• High-voltage battery and EV charging system knowledge is an advantage.
• Valid driving license with good driving skills.
• Good command of Thai and English.
• Strong analytical, communication, and dealer-support skills.
• Able to travel to dealerships or service locations when required.
