Technical Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Engineer to support technical projects, equipment performance, troubleshooting, testing, and engineering documentation.

You will work with engineering and operational teams to investigate technical issues, support system improvements, maintain accurate records, and help ensure equipment and technical processes meet required standards.

This position is suitable for an engineer with established technical experience who is comfortable working across troubleshooting, project support, testing, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for engineering systems and equipment
• Investigate faults and recommend practical solutions
• Support equipment testing, commissioning, and performance checks
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation
• Review engineering data and identify performance issues
• Assist with technical project planning and implementation
• Coordinate with suppliers and technical service providers
• Maintain equipment and maintenance records
• Support installation and system-upgrade activities
• Prepare technical reports and project updates
• Monitor recurring faults and recommend improvements
• Assist with risk assessments and technical procedures
• Support preventive maintenance planning
• Review technical specifications and equipment requirements
• Provide technical guidance to operational colleagues
• Maintain accurate engineering records and databases
• Support continuous-improvement initiatives
• Follow applicable safety and company procedures

What We Are Looking For

Experience

• Three or more years of relevant engineering or technical experience
• Experience troubleshooting technical equipment or systems
• Experience preparing technical reports and documentation
• Previous involvement in engineering projects, maintenance, testing, or commissioning
• Experience within advanced manufacturing, technology, energy, electronics, or industrial engineering is beneficial

Education

• Degree, HNC, HND, apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred
• Relevant professional engineering experience may also be considered

Pay: £45,000.00-£52,000.00 per year
