About the role

We are seeking a Technical Engineer to join K.K.I.P. SDN. BHD. in Sepanggar, Sabah. This is a contract position that plays a crucial role in supporting our engineering operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical solutions. As a Technical Engineer, you will be instrumental in maintaining our commitment to excellence in mechanical engineering projects and contributing to the success of our technical teams. Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and optimisation of mechanical systems and components
• Conduct technical analysis and feasibility studies for engineering projects
• Perform installation, commissioning, and testing of mechanical equipment and systems
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide practical solutions to minimise downtime
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and engineering specifications
• Support the maintenance and repair of existing mechanical systems and machinery
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within specifications
• Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks on completed work
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members as required
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on all projects

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 2-3 years of practical experience in mechanical engineering, maintenance, or technical operations
• Proficiency in the use of CAD software (such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks) for design and technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial machinery
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics
• Competency in conducting technical calculations and analysis
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Familiarity with health and safety standards in mechanical engineering and industrial settings
• Willingness to undertake on-site work and occasional travel as required
• Preferred: Experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial project management; knowledge of project management tools and methodologies; certification in relevant technical areas
