Technical Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Technical Engineer to manage technical engineering activities, coordinate with project teams, review drawings and specifications, and ensure that works are executed in accordance with approved designs, project requirements, and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents.
• Coordinate technical requirements between engineering, project, procurement, and site teams.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documents.
• Identify technical issues and provide practical engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders on technical matters.
• Ensure that drawings and technical submissions comply with project specifications and applicable standards.
• Monitor design changes and coordinate revisions with the relevant engineering teams.
• Assist in preparing technical proposals, calculations, reports, and other engineering documentation.
• Review site requirements and provide technical clarification and support to project teams.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure technical requirements and approved specifications are followed.
• Participate in technical meetings and prepare or follow up on action points related to engineering matters.
• Support the preparation and review of RFIs, technical queries, and variation-related documentation.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, approvals, technical submissions, and correspondence.
• Ensure that technical activities are completed within project schedules and in coordination with overall project requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documentation.
• Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and applicable engineering standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; knowledge of relevant engineering software is an advantage.
• Strong coordination, communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with multiple teams.
• UAE/GCC project experience is preferred.
