About the role

IMV International Micro Village Inc. is seeking a Technical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Makati City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical and electronic engineering solutions. As a Technical Engineer, you will be responsible for translating complex technical requirements into practical, innovative solutions that drive our company's success. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects whilst contributing to the advancement of our engineering capabilities and product offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical and electronic systems, components, and devices according to technical specifications and project requirements
• Conduct technical analysis, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for new engineering projects and initiatives
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electronic circuits, systems, and prototypes to ensure they meet quality and performance standards
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, circuit diagrams, specifications, and engineering reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure successful project delivery
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and manufacturing teams during implementation phases
• Stay current with industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies in electrical and electronic engineering
• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of engineering solutions

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Proven experience in electrical or electronic system design and development, typically 3-5 years in a technical engineering role
• Strong proficiency in circuit design, PCB layout, and schematic capture using industry-standard software tools
• Solid understanding of microcontroller and microprocessor programming, with experience in embedded systems development
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with testing equipment and instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analysers
• Experience with CAD software and simulation tools for electrical system modelling is highly desirable
• Knowledge of project management principles and experience working in an agile or iterative development environment would be advantageous
