Technical Engineer (Focus on Lift Projects)

About the role

We are assisting a top-tier contractor in Hong Kong to hire a Technical Engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical faults on lift and escalator systems
• Provide technical support and respond to escalated issues that cannot be resolved by frontline technicians
• Analyse fault patterns and recommend effective solutions to improve equipment reliability
• Interpret and review technical drawings, wiring diagrams and manuals to support fault finding and repair work
• Train, coach and mentor technicians to enhance their technical knowledge and practical skills
• Lead by example in the field by demonstrating safe work practices, high technical standards and professional conduct
• Support the adoption of new technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain clear communication with internal teams, customers and other stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution

About you

• Higher Diploma or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred
• Relevant hands-on experience in lift or escalator troubleshooting, maintenance or fault finding
• Holder of relevant state licence / certification, such as RLW / REW, is preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to interpret and analyse technical drawings, schematics and diagrams
• Good communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
• Willing to learn and adopt new technologies as the industry continues to evolve
