Technical Engineer - Infrastructure

The Technical Engineer – Infrastructure will provide technical and engineering support for infrastructure projects, ensuring the accuracy of technical documentation, compliance with approved designs and specifications, and smooth execution of construction works. The role will coordinate with site teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues and support timely project delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and review workable shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical details for infrastructure works.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements.
• Provide technical support to site teams and resolve design conflicts and construction-related issues.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders on technical matters.
• Review site conditions and propose practical engineering solutions where required.
• Conduct site inspections to verify that works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Review and coordinate works related to roads, drainage, utilities, and other infrastructure works.
• Assist in reviewing construction materials and technical submissions in accordance with project specifications.
• Prepare technical reports, site observations, and other engineering documentation as required.
• Monitor technical issues and coordinate their resolution to avoid delays to project activities.
• Support the Project Manager and site team in ensuring technical compliance and smooth project execution.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical engineering roles, preferably within UAE infrastructure projects.
• Experience in roads, drainage, utilities, and related infrastructure works.
• Strong knowledge of technical drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Civil 3D is an advantage.
• Familiarity with UAE/local infrastructure standards, specifications, and regulations.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and site teams.
• Ability to manage multiple technical requirements and meet project deadlines.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
