Role Description The Technical Engineer Tooling role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata. This role involves providing technical support for cutting tools and machining applications, including tool selection, process optimization, and troubleshooting at customer locations. The Technical Engineer will interpret engineering drawings, recommend suitable tooling solutions, and collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address client requirements. Daily activities include conducting product demonstrations, training customer teams on proper tooling usage, preparing technical reports, and maintaining documentation for application trials and performance improvements. The role also includes coordinating with principals and internal stakeholders to ensure timely solutions and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong knowledge of cutting tools, machining processes, and tool application engineering.
• Candidates should possess skills in interpreting technical drawings, process planning, and production engineering.
• Candidates should possess abilities in customer interaction, technical communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Candidates should possess basic proficiency with MS Office tools and documentation for reporting and analysis.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
• Experience in CNC machining, metal cutting, or industrial tooling support will be an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, willingness to work on-site at customer locations, and readiness for field visits are beneficial.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain a customer-focused approach is essential.
