Technical Engineer (UPS)

Job Purpose

Responsible for providing technical support and engineering services related to electrical power systems, UPS systems, and associated electrical equipment. The position will support installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving to ensure reliable and safe operation of electrical and backup power systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, install, test, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical power systems and UPS systems.
• Provide technical support for UPS, backup power systems, battery systems, battery chargers, and related electrical equipment.
• Inspect and analyze electrical systems to identify faults, abnormalities, and potential system issues.
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electrical and UPS system failures.
• Conduct Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) for UPS and electrical power systems.
• Perform electrical testing and measurements using appropriate electrical test equipment.
• Check system performance, operating parameters, alarms, and protection functions of UPS and related equipment.
• Support installation and commissioning activities, including system testing and functional verification.
• Prepare technical reports, service reports, test reports, and other engineering documentation.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and complete assigned projects.
• Provide technical recommendations to improve the reliability, efficiency, and performance of electrical and backup power systems.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable safety standards.
• Travel to customer sites and project locations as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, electrical systems, maintenance, commissioning, or technical service.
• Experience with UPS systems, backup power systems, or electrical power systems will be highly advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and electrical equipment.
• Experience in electrical troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, and commissioning.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good command of English is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and project locations.
• Possess a valid driving license.
