Technical Engineer – Waterproofing & Construction Materials

Job Summary

We are looking for a technically competent and detail-oriented Technical Engineer with experience in waterproofing systems and construction materials. The successful candidate will coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers, prepare technical submittals, review product documentation, and ensure materials comply with project specifications and consultant requirements.

This role requires strong technical documentation skills, effective coordination with external stakeholders, and a good understanding of waterproofing products and their applications in construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit technical submittals, material approval documents, product data sheets, and technical compliance statements.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to obtain technical documents, product specifications, samples, certificates, and other required approvals.
• Review project specifications and consultant requirements to ensure proposed materials meet the required standards.
• Prepare and maintain method statements, material documentation, and technical submission packages as required.
• Follow up with consultants, contractors, manufacturers, and suppliers regarding technical queries, material approvals, and pending submissions.
• Evaluate product suitability against project specifications and recommend appropriate materials in coordination with manufacturers.
• Maintain organized records of technical submissions, revisions, approvals, and product documentation.
• Provide technical clarification and documentation support to internal teams and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate material samples, product demonstrations, and technical information when required.
• Keep up to date with waterproofing systems, construction chemicals, product standards, and manufacturer recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 3–4 years of relevant experience in technical engineering, preferably within waterproofing, construction chemicals, building materials, or construction products.
• Practical experience preparing technical submittals and material approval documents for construction projects.
• Good understanding of product technical data sheets, method statements, material specifications, and compliance documentation.
• Experience coordinating with manufacturers, suppliers, consultants, and contractors.
• Strong communication, follow-up, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
• Candidates currently based in the UAE with relevant industry experience are preferred.

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
