Technical Enterprise Architect

My client based in Midrand is currently looking for a Technical Enterprise Architect to join their team on a contract basis.

IT / FINANCE

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture design reviews, establish standards and ensure compliance with approved designs.
• Govern cross-platform architecture decisions, technical exceptions, risks, technical debt and design documentation.
• Ensure alignment between OT devices, applications, IoT platforms, APIs, Kafka, SAP and enterprise integration systems.
• Coordinate technical teams, suppliers and stakeholders to resolve cross-platform issues and integration challenges.
• Oversee network connectivity, security configurations, interfaces, certificates, firewall rules and environment settings.
• Coordinate monitoring, incident management, cybersecurity testing, vulnerability remediation and disaster recovery testing.
• Assess solution designs for security, performance, availability, capacity, data integrity and operational support.
• Maintain accurate architecture records, technical documentation, troubleshooting guides and operational runbooks.
• Ensure production readiness, service continuity and a smooth transition into operational support.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field.
• TOGAF 9 or higher certification.
• 5-8+ years of relevant experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture or technical solution delivery.
• Senior experience leading large, multi-vendor, multi-technology programmes from design through implementation, commissioning and operational handover.
• Strong technical experience in infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise integration, networking and IT/OT environments.
• CCIE-level expertise or equivalent experience.
