What are your contributions to the team? In your role, you will:

• Supervise and support Mass Properties activities of aircraft development projects

• Participate in Mass Properties activities, such as:

• Weight and center of gravity (CG) predictions at various levels of details in support of:

• Aircraft configuration development

• Tradeoff studies

• Uncertainty analysis

• Cost estimations

• Supplier discussions and negotiations

• Etc

• Detailed analysis: Mass distribution and inertias estimations- Fuel migration analysis

• Buoyancy assessment

• Weight targets definition

• Etc

• Review and approve Mass Properties deliverables

• Participate in the planning and tracking of Mass Properties activities

• Participate in discussions with internal and external contributors and/or partners as a Mass Properties representative

• Take active role in integration activities as a senior representative of the Mass Properties discipline

• Contribute to the development plan for Mass Properties tools and processes with a focus on continuous improvement

• Provide supervision, guidance and mentoring to more junior members of the Mass Properties team

• Supervise engineering students’ internships. How to thrive in this role? As our ideal candidate,

• You have more than 15 years of experience in aerospace engineering.

• You have more than 10 years of experience in Mass Properties.

• You have participated in aircraft development programs as a Mass Properties expert

• You have a good understanding of aircraft systems and structures.

• You have a good understanding of the aircraft development and certification process.

• You are open-minded, curious, rigorous and methodical.

• You strive for harmonious cohesive teamwork and support knowledge sharing amongst team members.

• You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You approach problem solving with a holistic view.

• You have strong communication skills and can easily tailor your communication to suit the audience

• You have experience with CAD tools (Siemens NX experience is an asset)

• Possess a university degree in Engineering
