Technical Garment Designer - Specification Sheets

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Garment Graphic Designer with a strong understanding of garment construction, fabric technology, and apparel production. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing detailed technical specification sheets (tech packs) for sampling and bulk production, ensuring that designs are accurately translated into production-ready garments according to client requirements.

The candidate should be proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and AI-generated design tools, with the ability to create technical drawings, garment graphics, and detailed production documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed technical specification sheets (tech packs) for garment sampling and bulk production.
• Create technical flats, garment illustrations, graphic placements, and detailed design artwork using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Utilize AI-generated design tools to develop creative concepts, garment graphics, and design variations.
• Prepare detailed specifications covering garment measurements, construction details, stitching, trims, fabric composition, and finishing requirements.
• Coordinate with fabric suppliers, garment factories, and other production partners to develop samples according to client specifications.
• Communicate design and technical requirements clearly to suppliers and manufacturers to ensure accurate sample development.
• Review samples, identify discrepancies, and provide technical comments and revisions to achieve the required quality and fit.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of garment manufacturing processes, fabric properties, and production feasibility.
• Work with both knitted and woven fabrics, understanding their construction, composition, characteristics, and suitability for different garment types.
• Ensure all technical documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with client requirements before proceeding to bulk production.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical garment design, apparel product development, or a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
• Experience with AI-generated design tools and the ability to incorporate AI-assisted concepts into garment development.
• Good knowledge of garment construction, pattern details, stitching techniques, trims, and finishing methods.
• Strong understanding of fabric construction, composition, properties, and applications, including both knitted and woven fabrics.
• Experience preparing detailed tech packs and technical specification sheets for sampling and bulk production.
• Practical knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, sample development, and bulk production requirements.
• Experience coordinating with suppliers, factories, and production teams.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
