Technical Implementation Lead (Insurtech / SAAS)

Summary

We are partnering with a prominent insurtech platform with strong regional establishments to assist their recruitment on a Technical Implementation Lead role. Reporting to the Head of Platform, this role will collaborate with C-level executives clients to oversee and drive the technical implementation process. The ideal candidate will be someone with certain programming (Java, Python or SQL), API management and solution design background who has transited into a client facing technical project management function.

What you will do

• Primary Client Contact: Serve as the main technical lead to facilitate discussions, clarify risks, and drive client decisions to closure.
• Scope & Change Control: Define strict scope boundaries, manage change requests, and push back tactfully to protect delivery commitments.
• Technical Governance: Partner with the Project Manager to maintain a streamlined governance cadence covering risks, dependencies, and decision logs.
• End-to-End Delivery Ownership: Own multi-product integration to ensure all internal systems and client applications work cohesively together.
• Architecture Design: Collaborate with tech leads and architects to design fit-for-purpose solution architectures and manage technical dependencies.
• Lifecycle Oversight: Maintain strong delivery discipline across all phases, from initial discovery and SIT/UAT through go-live and hypercare.
• Integration & Interface Design: Lead the design of APIs, batch/real-time data interfaces, error handling, and data mapping with client systems.
• Defect Triage & Readiness: Coordinate end-to-end integration readiness and manage internal defect resolution throughout testing phases.
• Environment & Infra Coordination: Align sandbox, pre-prod, and production environment setup with Cloud/DevOps teams to prevent project blockages.
• Testing & Cutover Management: Lead SIT execution, support UAT sign-off, and drive deployment readiness through cutover planning and post-go-live stabilization.
• Security & Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate required security assessments, disaster recovery testing, and regulatory governance prior to launch.

What you will bring

• Experienced Background: Requires 8–10+ years in technical implementation, solution delivery, or platform integration roles.
• Customer & Scope Management: Strong ability to lead client communications, manage scope, set boundaries, and tactfully push back when needed.
• Technical Integration Foundations: Deep knowledge of APIs, data flows, infrastructure environments, and core delivery lifecycle fundamentals.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven ability to operate independently and drive results through influence across product, engineering, and project teams.
• Full-Lifecycle Experience: Track record of managing end-to-end delivery from discovery and integration to testing (SIT/UAT), go-live, and post-launch support.
• Domain & Industry Knowledge: Beneficial familiarity with healthcare/health insurance operations (claims, clinical, financial data) and relevant platforms (e.g., benefits, rules engines).
• Education Requirements: Holds a Bachelor’s degree at minimum, with an advanced degree (e.g., MBA) strongly preferred.
• Architectural & Technical Expertise: Translates complex customer needs into scalable, coherent technical solutions while navigating operational constraints.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Unifies diverse teams to drive decisive progress and reach consensus without formal authority.
• Customer-Centric Focus: Acts as a dedicated client advocate while actively protecting internal delivery integrity and long-term scalability.
