Technical Inside Sales Representative – Data Centers

Job Summary

Quantum Technology Systems (QTS) supplies the physical infrastructure behind AI and cloud data centers: cabinets, rack PDUs, structured cabling, fiber, busway, switchgear and OCP ORV3 rack components, delivered as turnkey packages to hyperscalers, neocloud providers, general contractors, systems integrators and colocation operators. We are headquartered in Rancho Cordova with an office in Santa Clara and teams in seven cities worldwide. The quote desk is where every order starts, and this role is the first person our customers deal with on each RFQ.

What you will do

• Turn inbound RFQs into complete, priced quotes: build the bill of materials, pull pricing and lead times from our OEM and distribution partners, apply pricing and issue the quote, usually within one business day.
• Enter and manage sales orders in our ERP (Cin7), track open orders and keep customers current on lead times and ship dates.
• Work with our supply chain team on availability, cross-referenced substitutes and freight.
• Follow up every open quote until it is won or closed, and keep the pipeline current in our sales tools.
• Support leadership on large project bids: rack, power and cabling packages for multi-megawatt builds.
• Learn the catalog: cabinets and cable management, rack PDUs, copper and fiber structured cabling, optics, busway, switchgear and ORV3 components.

What you bring

• 2 to 5 years of inside sales, quoting or customer service at an electrical, datacom or IT distributor, systems integrator or manufacturer (required).
• You can read a BOM and a cut sheet and are comfortable cross-referencing part numbers.
• Fast and accurate in Excel; experience with an ERP or CRM (Cin7, NetSuite, SAP, Epicor, Eclipse or similar).
• Clear, prompt written communication; you will be the customer's daily contact.
• Organized under volume: many open quotes, many vendors, hard deadlines.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Exposure to data center, electrical contractor or critical-power customers.
• Familiarity with lines such as Chatsworth (CPI), Vertiv, Server Technology, Legrand, Panduit, Corning, CommScope or Eaton.

Pay and benefits

• Base salary $55,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
• Benefits: Medical, dental and vision; 401(k); paid time off and holidays.
• Full-time, Monday to Friday, on-site at our Rancho Cordova headquarters.

Pay: $53,800.00 - $64,900.00 per year
