Technical Installer – Vehicle Equipment

ICP delivers IT lifecycle services, including device management and large-scale deployment through our ISO 9001–certified integration center, custom software and data solutions, and full-service IT hardware and resource support. Vehicle-mounted technology and equipment support is an established, formalized part of our service line, and we're adding headcount to scale that capability as demand grows.

Position Summary

We're adding a Vehicle Equipment Installation Technician to join our vehicle equipment installation team — standardizing and documenting installation procedures, and working closely with our Program Delivery team and third-party installation partners.

Key Responsibilities

Installation Process Management

• Follow standardized installation processes for vehicle-mounted technology, including tablet installations, mount installations and retrofits.
• Develop working knowledge of related installation work performed by third-party vendors to ensure processes integrate cleanly across all installers

Documentation & Diagrams

• Verify completed installations against vehicle schematics and checklists for accuracy and consistency
• Follow vehicle schematics showing equipment layout
• Complete activity reports of tasks performed with photos and installation checklists to support consistent, repeatable installs

Qualifications

• Documentation and organizational skills; comfortable following repeatable procedures.
• Working technical familiarity with vehicle equipment installation and low-voltage (12V) electrical systems (tablets, mounts, wiring)
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately
• Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams and manufacturer installation instructions
• Ability to work on-site and coordinate directly with installation teams and program staff
• MECP (Mobile Electronics Certified Professional) certification a plus, not required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to approximately 25–50 lbs
• Ability to work in tight vehicle interior spaces, including bending, kneeling, and reaching as needed for installations
