Seeking a hands-on Technical Integration Specialist on behalf of our client based near Mandurah. Our client needs someone to connect, configure and test existing software and hardware as part of a technology project.

Engagement

This is an initial project requiring hands-on work near Mandurah, with an immediate start. We are seeking a casual employee. We are also open to proposals from experienced contractors, contractors applying should include their availability and indicative rate.

About the role

You’ll work directly with the client and their existing equipment to understand the current setup, identify what needs to be completed and get the system operating reliably. This role suits someone who enjoys practical problem-solving and is comfortable moving between software, electronic devices and hands-on testing.

The work requires time on site in the Mandurah region. This is an initial casual engagement, with the possibility of further work as the project develops.

Key responsibilities

• Review the existing software, hardware and technical documentation.
• Configure devices and establish reliable communication between components.
• Investigate issues involving connectivity, settings, data exchange and system behaviour.
• Assist with setting up and refining a working prototype.
• Carry out practical tests, record results and resolve faults.
• Identify any additional components, information or development work needed.
• Document the final configuration and provide a clear handover to the client.

About you

• You have practical experience integrating software with electronic devices or equipment.

• You can read technical documentation and troubleshoot unfamiliar systems methodically.

• Experience with networking, device communications, scripting, embedded systems, automation or IoT projects would be valuable.

• You’re available to begin promptly and work on site when required.
