Technical Internal Sales Consultant

A well-established, family-owned Perth engineering and fabrication group is looking for an Internal Technical Sales Representative to join its team. The business designs, engineers and builds custom safety and maintenance solutions for tier-one mining, energy and Defense customers across Australia.

The role Our Field Sales Team Visits Customer Sites, Takes The Brief And Sketches The Requirement. You'll Be The Person In The Office Who Keeps Those Opportunities Moving. You Will

• Follow up quotes that have been sent and drive them to a decision
• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities with existing customers
• Take customer calls and emails, answer what you can and hand technical or commercial questions to the right salesperson
• Support the sales team with quote preparation, admin and customer updates
• Work closely with design and engineering so customers get accurate answers on scope and timing

About you

• 3-5 years' experience in fabrication, mobile maintenance or bolt-on plant, or a similar hands-on technical environment
• Able to read CAD drawings and sketches and understand how fabricated equipment is built and fitted
• Confident communicator, comfortable on the phone and organised with follow-ups
• Keen to build a career in sales, with the drive to move into a field sales role in 2-3 years
• Mining, resources or Defense exposure is highly regarded
