Contract 6 months

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead & Solution Architect with strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure or Microsoft Fabric architecture, Power BI data modelling, security and information governance.

The successful candidate will lead technical architecture across Microsoft AI and Data initiatives, collaborate with the client's IT team, contribute to solution development and ensure comprehensive documentation and knowledge transfer.

🔹 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the design and development of Microsoft 365, Azure or Microsoft Fabric architectures.
• Design and review Power BI data models.
• Define security, access control and permissions designs.
• Support information governance initiatives involving Microsoft Purview, SharePoint and Microsoft 365.
• Create and maintain Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
• Contribute to initiatives involving Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio and AI agent development.
• Support Power Platform, Power BI and data integration initiatives.
• Work alongside the client's IT team on solution development and implementation.
• Provide full technical documentation and knowledge transfer to the client's team.

✅ ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience managing at least three major projects .
• Strong experience in Microsoft 365, Azure or Microsoft Fabric architecture.
• Experience designing Power BI data models.
• Strong understanding of security and permissions design.
• Awareness of Microsoft Purview and information governance.
• Experience preparing Architecture Decision Records.
• Relevant hands-on Microsoft technology experience.

⭐ DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS

• Experience delivering projects within the UK public sector.
• PRINCE2 or equivalent.
• AZ-305 certification.
• DP-600 certification.
• Microsoft 365 Architect certification.

⚠️ MANDATORY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

✔ UK-based throughout the entire engagement.

✔ Right to work in the UK.

✔ BPSS screening: Must be able to pass the Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks, including:

✔ Availability: immediate

✔ Hands-on Microsoft experience: Must demonstrate relevant practical experience with Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Power BI, Azure or Microsoft Fabric.
