About the Job

We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Lead - DevOps / Platform Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, and cloud-native systems. The ideal candidate will lead the full lifecycle of infrastructure and platform development, covering architecture, automation, observability, deployment, and scalability while mentoring team members and driving engineering excellence. The role requires deep expertise in Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.

Duties Responsibilities

• Enforce platform engineering best practices across the Infrastructure Development Lifecycle (IDLC): from requirements to design, automation, testing, deployment, and observability.
• Own infrastructure design documentation (IDD), including architecture diagrams, CI/CD flows, node/resource maps, and operational logic.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Manager, CTO, and other technical leaders to align infrastructure strategies with business goals.
• Lead and mentor a team of 6+ DevOps/Platform Engineers, promoting knowledge sharing, automation-first mindset, and operational excellence.
• Architect and maintain scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-native infrastructure using Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud services.
• Implement and enforce standards for IaC (Infrastructure as Code), reusable modules, and configuration management.
• Conduct rigorous reviews of infrastructure code and automation scripts, ensuring reliability, documentation, and security compliance.
• Manage and reduce technical debt by proactively identifying inefficiencies and implementing infrastructure optimizations.
• Oversee time estimation, task planning, and milestone tracking to meet delivery objectives.
• Define and execute rollout strategies, zero-downtime deployments, disaster recovery plans, and infrastructure migrations.
• Lead DevSecOps practices, including vulnerability scanning, license compliance, secret management, and secure CI/CD implementation.
• Evaluate and integrate new tools, frameworks, and cloud-native services, ensuring smooth adoption and minimized operational burden.
• Rapidly execute Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) with modern infrastructure tooling to validate new technologies and workflows.
• Monitor production infrastructure, define SLOs/SLIs, build dashboards using Prometheus and Grafana, and manage logs with ELK Stack.
• Drive capacity planning, scaling strategies, and incident response readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles
• Proven experience leading and mentoring 4+ DevOps or SRE engineers
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes, container orchestration, and distributed systems
• Expertise in infrastructure monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack
• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and GitOps workflows
• Proven track record designing scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant infrastructure
• Excellent scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python, or Go), and use of IaC tools (Terraform, Helm, Ansible, etc.)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and multi-cloud/hybrid deployments
• Strong understanding of security, vulnerability management, and compliance in cloud and containerized environments
• Experience with performance tuning, system optimization, and debugging infrastructure issues
• Enthusiastic adopter and promoter of AI-assisted tooling (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) for faster scripting, documentation, and debugging
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams.
