Technical Lead

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of full stack engineers and system analyst, providing technical guidance and support
• Perform and manage team to analyze existing and new application functionalities
• Lead team to design, build, test, and deploy with documentations
• Lead/Coach team and work collaboratively with project manager, product owner, business analyst, solution architect, and others to deliver solutions
• Drive team members to become self-sustain / self-organized workforce
• Coach team to write and perform unit tests
• Provide guidance to team members
• Drive the technical direction of projects, ensuring adherence to best practices
• Establish and maintain development frameworks and standards
• Understand business functional expectations and translate into technical requirements
• Thoroughly understand the overall system architecture, technical solutions and functionalities of the products under responsibility
• Architect, design, and implement scalable software solutions
• Research and demonstrate best practices in software development
• Provide realistic estimations, plans and impact assessments on any solutions
• Monitor project progress, communicate status and risks, and ensure timely delivery
• Manage work plans and task assignments
• Manage quality and compliance of the deliverables
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical guidance
• Analyze and solve issue with root cause and solution summary
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and propose effective solutions
• Assess and provide solutions to complex issues or incidents
• Ensure proper DevOps process executions

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science or related fields

• 8+ years of experience in full stack development, software development, programming/coding, system architecture design, solution design, microservice design etc.

• Proven experience in managing and leading large teams, with a strong focus on team performance, collaboration, and achieving business objectives.

• Strong in TypeScript Nest.JS, NodeJS, web application, web services (SOAP, REST), databases, DevOps, container technology

• Knowledge in JavaScript, VueJS, Angular, React is a plus

• Strong in development frameworks and standards

• Open to both waterfall and agile/scrum methods

• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization technologies is a plus

• Ensure entire stack is designed and built for speed and scalability

• Code in the way that can be tested and reused

• Plan and implement high performing applications

• Clear and concise documentation

• Provide technical consulting and support

• Able to translate business needs into technical requirements

• Accurately estimate and manage timeline for assigned tasks

• High accountability, able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload supporting multiple projects/assignments

• Strong commitments and able to work under pressure

• Strong Leadership, Team Management, and Communication skills

• Good command of spoken and written in English

• Able to work as a team and individual

• Retail Industry Experience is a plus
