Technical Lead

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead to drive the design, development, and deployment of scalable backend systems, with a strong focus on Conversational AI and Voice AI solutions.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role that combines individual coding contributions with team leadership. The ideal candidate should have strong backend development expertise, experience designing scalable systems, and the ability to guide a team of engineers while actively contributing to architecture, development, debugging, and production deployments.

The role also involves collaborating with product teams and clients, managing project delivery, and exploring emerging technologies to build innovative AI-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, development, and deployment of scalable backend systems and AI-driven applications.
• Design and develop Conversational AI and Voice Bot solutions integrating Speech-to-Text (STT), Large Language Models (LLMs), and Text-to-Speech (TTS).
• Actively contribute to coding, debugging, code reviews, and production deployments.
• Lead, mentor, and guide a team of 5-10 developers while maintaining high engineering standards.
• Drive sprint planning, task allocation, execution, and timely project delivery.
• Build and integrate AI-powered conversational and voice-based applications.
• Develop and maintain backend services, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, DevOps, and Data teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and AI capabilities to develop innovative solutions.
• Ensure system scalability, reliability, performance, security, and maintainability.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of overall software development experience.
• Strong hands-on backend development experience using Python or similar programming languages.
• Experience designing and developing scalable distributed systems or SaaS platforms.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading small development teams.
• Strong understanding of system design, software architecture, API development, and production deployment.
• Ability to balance hands-on coding responsibilities with technical leadership and delivery ownership.

Preferred Skills

• Conversational AI, Voice AI, and Voice Bot development.
• Speech-to-Text (STT), Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), and Text-to-Speech (TTS) technologies.
• LLM integrations and OpenAI APIs.
• LangChain and LangGraph.
• Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Django.
• Vector databases and retrieval-based AI applications.
• Twilio or similar telephony platform integrations.
• AWS cloud services.
• Microservices architecture and REST APIs.
• Experience building and deploying AI-driven applications in production.
