Technical Lead

About the Client

Authentz is building a modern technology platform for educational institutions to streamline admissions, applicant processing, document management, verification, and workflow automation.

They are looking for a Tech Lead with 5-10 years of experience to join their engineering team and build scalable, secure, and reliable production systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain production-grade software.
• Develop backend services and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot .
• Build modern web applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript .
• Develop Python services, automation, integrations, and data-processing components where required.
• Design and integrate third-party APIs and services.
• Work with relational databases and write efficient SQL queries.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code.
• Participate in code reviews and follow engineering standards.
• Work closely with QA to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.
• Investigate production issues and participate in root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to CI/CD and cloud deployment processes.
• Follow secure software development practices.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Take ownership of assigned features from requirements through production.
• Collaborate with Tech Leads, Architect, QA, UI/UX, and BA teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5-10 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot .
• Good experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript .
• Working experience with Python .
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and web application architecture.
• Good experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Strong Git and pull-request workflow experience.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, and application security.
• Good understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development teams.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
