Life in Bracebridge
Work in the heart of Muskoka; a four-season tourist community with a base population of 17,000.
Bracebridge offers year-round outdoor recreation opportunities and many great amenities. Public transit operates six days a week, although the nearest bus stop is a 20-minute walk from our facility. A car is a convenient conveyance; however, a bicycle or e-bike may also work well until the snow flies.
Applicants from outside Muskoka should consider researching accommodation options in Bracebridge or within the surrounding area. Bring your hiking boots, mountain bike and fishing rod.
Show Me What You Have Accomplished… So far…
We encourage applicants to prepare and present at an interview a personal technical highlight portfolio featuring your noteworthy construction, electrical, electronic technical or engineering projects from school, work and personal experience or hobbies. Hopefully, you are able to include labelled photos (preferably with you in the picture). Use descriptive paragraphs that demonstrate:
- Your engineering knowledge and technical skills applied to the project
- What you learned in the process
- Demonstrate your creativity, innovation, problem-solving, initiative and persistence
- How you handled challenges and failures toward a solution. Brag a bit. Be prepared to share your failures and how you overcame them. If you didn’t fail during the project, it wasn’t difficult enough to include in a portfolio.
- Curate it to make it look professional!
How to Apply
Send your resume and a self-written cover letter to:
Jim McEachran, President
Please note that we try to respond to all applicants, however substandard or ineligible submissions will not receive a response.
