Technical Lead-Layer 2 Developer

Key Technical Skills:

• Design, develop and maintain LTE Layer 2(PDCP/RLC/MAC) stack.
• Design and optimize Uplink/Downlink scheduling algorithms (QoS aware, fairness, etc.)
• Optimization of Resource allocation block.
• Design, develop and optimization of HARQ process, Power control, SPS, TTI Bundling, Link Adaptation, CA, ENDC.
• Implement L2L1 interface handling via FAPI / nFAPI: encode/decode primitives, timing synchronization, error handling.
• Implement L2L3 (RRC) interface: configuration primitives, bearer setup/release, re-establishment procedures.
• Read and translate 3GPP LTE Release 817 specifications directly into code, handling edge cases and error conditions.
• Write and maintain unit tests with high code coverage for each developed module.
• Debug L2 protocol issues independently — analyze PCAP captures, L2 traces, and scheduler logs to isolate root causes
• Should be able to prepare LLD, HLD and Interface specifications
• Expert in C/C++
• Strong experience in Linux-based development with IPC and multi-threading
