Lead the Salesforce work on two live programs, with a hand in shaping a customer experience overhaul from the ground up!

About the company

Our client is a well-established Australian company working in financial sector, have their tech team in mid-transformation, putting real investment into security and into rethinking how customers are served. Squads are cross-functional and close-knit, and leadership is open about wanting to evolve how engineering gets done, including where AI fits into the workflow. It's mature enough to have proper delivery rigour, and still early enough on some fronts that there's room to shape what comes next.

About the role

You'll step in as the hands-on Salesforce lead , sitting within a Salesforce and integration squad alongside testing and delivery leads. The work spans two programs. You'll keep an eye on their milestones and timelines, lead the technical direction, and influence through experience rather than a line of direct reports. You'll also stay across Salesforce's product roadmap and flag what changes mean for their ecosystem. You'll go deep on Salesforce's customer-facing AI, and help shape the thinking and guardrails there.

What we're looking for

• Deep, hands-on Salesforce expertise (not just architecture slides)
• Experience providing technical leadership in a cross-functional environment
• Self-starter who's comfortable owning things and getting moving without much hand-holding
• Comfortable with AI-assisted engineering workflows, and keen to coach others through that shift
• A good feel for the Salesforce product roadmap and how releases ripple through an existing org
• Bonus: a few years working outside Salesforce too, such as another CRM, front-end or back-end development
