Technical Maintenance Assistant

Florida Design Drilling LLC (FDD) is a rapidly growing, licensed water well and general contractor based in West Palm Beach, Florida. We are a leading provider of water well drilling and water resource construction services, specializing in solutions for industrial, irrigation, and commercial clients.

We operate a well-established shop in West Palm Beach that provides critical maintenance and repair services for our fleet of drilling rigs, heavy equipment, and support vehicles. We are looking for a Technical Maintenance Assistant to join our team and help our operations run safely and efficiently.

Position Summary
The Technical Maintenance Assistant is responsible for assisting in the completion of builds, commissioning and maintenance of drilling and well operations equipment. This role will work both in our shop and in the field, supporting our crews and ensuring minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Procurement and acquisition of required parts
• Assemble equipment via designs, drawings, and/or instructions provided by Supervisor
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, inspection, and testing of existing and new industrial equipment as needed.
• Assist in the diagnostics of industrial equipment.
• Assist with field service calls, including emergency repairs, as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the yard and shop.
• Maintain records of work completed daily.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and other team members regarding equipment status and repair needs.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks in a time-efficient and safe manner.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation to commute to the shop and travel to job sites.
• Flexible and willing to work extended or irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to support 24/7 drill rig operations.
• Willingness to travel to field locations as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
