Technical Manager

Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Software Engineer at وزارة التعليم. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain software solutions that support educational platforms, internal systems, and data services. Day-to-day tasks include implementing back-end components, writing clean and efficient code, troubleshooting and fixing issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine requirements. The role also involves reviewing existing systems, optimizing performance, ensuring security and reliability, and documenting technical designs and code. The Software Engineer will participate in code reviews, follow best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including algorithms, data structures, and software architecture.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in building and maintaining production-quality applications.
• Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and their application in modern software design.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Familiarity with secure coding practices and performance optimization for web-based systems.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time hours effectively, and communicate clearly with distributed teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in educational technology or public-sector projects is beneficial but not required.
