Technical Manager

About the role

The Technical Manager supervises the Technical Department's operations and heads project management. The role involves strategic planning and execution of approved plans, managing technical teams, and ensuring quality delivery across networking, CCTV, security systems, and telecommunications projects.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the Technical Department's Operations
• Head the Project Management on technical side and requirements
• Knowledgeable with advancement ability in technical operational procedures to resolve issues and train people
• Help the Management on Policies and Organizational general implementations
• Strategic planning and execution of approved plans

Project Management

• Site survey and technical assessment
• Preparation of BOQ/BOM
• Cost estimation
• Project scheduling
• Manpower and equipment allocation
• Installation supervision
• Testing, commissioning and turnover
• As-built documentation

Technical Leadership

• Manage and train technicians
• Assign daily field activities
• Check quality of installations
• Review technical reports
• Troubleshoot escalated problems
• Establish SOPs and preventive-maintenance procedures
• Evaluate technicians' performance

Client & Commercial Skills

• Conduct technical meetings with clients
• Explain technical solutions in simple terms
• Prepare technical proposals
• Assist Sales in solution design
• Handle complaints and escalations
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors
• Understand project costing and margins

About you

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field
• 5–8+ years of experience in ISP, telco, networking, CCTV, fiber, structured cabling, or related technical operations
• 2–3 years in a supervisory/management capacity
• Core technical skills in networking (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLAN, DHCP, DNS, routers, switches, access points, firewalls, fiber-optic and UTP networks)
• Experience with CCTV and security systems (IP and analog CCTV systems, NVR/DVR configuration, IP cameras, PoE and storage)
• Telecommunications expertise (fiber-optic installation and troubleshooting, OTDR/power-meter testing, splicing and termination, structured cabling standards)
• Familiarity with MikroTik, Cisco, Ubiquiti or similar equipment
• Relevant technical certifications such as CCNA, MikroTik MTCNA/MTCRE, fiber-optic certification, CCTV/security-system certifications, CompTIA Network+, or TESDA certifications is an advantage
