Job Summary

Emerald Phoenix Safety Consultancy LLC is seeking an experienced and technically competent Technical Manager to oversee and manage technical operations related to occupational safety consultancy, lifting equipment inspections, lifting gear inspections, and lifting operations safety.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of lifting equipment, lifting accessories, inspection procedures, applicable safety standards, and UAE regulatory requirements. The candidate will be responsible for managing technical teams, ensuring the quality and accuracy of inspection activities, maintaining compliance with applicable standards, and supporting the company's business development and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise technical operations related to lifting equipment and lifting gear inspection and occupational safety consultancy.
• Oversee inspections and assessments of cranes, hoists, forklifts, lifting accessories, and other lifting equipment, as applicable to the company's approved scope of services.
• Ensure inspections are carried out in accordance with applicable international standards, manufacturer recommendations, UAE regulations, and relevant client requirements.
• Review and verify inspection reports, technical documents, checklists, risk assessments, and recommendations before submission to clients.
• Ensure the proper identification, inspection, and assessment of lifting gears, including wire rope slings, chain slings, webbing slings, shackles, hooks, and other lifting accessories.
• Provide technical guidance and support to inspectors, engineers, safety officers, and other technical personnel.
• Coordinate inspection schedules, site visits, client requirements, and technical service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality management systems, occupational health and safety requirements, and applicable accreditation requirements.
• Investigate technical issues, equipment defects, non-conformities, and safety concerns, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate technical records, equipment inspection reports, calibration records, and other relevant documentation.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities regarding technical matters and inspection requirements.
• Support the preparation of technical proposals, quotations, service scopes, and client presentations.
• Identify opportunities to improve technical processes, service quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure technical personnel are competent, appropriately trained, and qualified for their assigned duties.
• Support internal audits, external assessments, and continual improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in lifting equipment inspection, lifting gear inspection, mechanical engineering, or occupational safety consultancy.
• Previous experience in a technical supervisory or management role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, lifting accessories, inspection methodologies, and lifting operations safety.
• Familiarity with relevant international standards, such as applicable ASME, BS, EN, and ISO standards, and UAE regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of inspection documentation, technical reporting, risk assessment, and quality management systems.
• Experience managing technical teams and coordinating inspection activities.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical documentation.
• Valid UAE driving licence is an advantage.
• Relevant professional certifications in lifting equipment inspection, lifting operations, occupational health and safety, or related fields are an advantage.
