Technical Manager (Construction - Estimating & Drafting) | Remote

Skill Cloud is looking for an experienced QA/QC Manager with strong Australian construction experience to oversee and manage quality assurance and quality control processes across construction projects. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of managerial experience in QA/QC, a solid understanding of Australian construction standards and practices, and the ability to establish, implement, and maintain effective quality management systems.

Responsibilities:
📌 Lead and manage QA/QC activities across construction projects.
📌 Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans.
📌 Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, contracts, and applicable Australian standards.
📌 Review and monitor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, method statements, and quality documentation.
📌 Conduct and coordinate inspections, quality audits, and compliance reviews.
* Identify non-conformances and oversee Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
📌 Review technical documentation, inspection records, material certifications, and testing reports.
📌 Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Site Teams, subcontractors, and clients to resolve quality issues.
📌 Monitor subcontractor and supplier compliance with project quality requirements.
📌 Maintain accurate and organized QA/QC records and reports.

About you
* 3+ years of experience in a QA/QC Managerial or leadership role.
Australian construction experience is required.
* Strong knowledge of Australian construction quality standards, specifications, and documentation requirements.
* Degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
* Strong experience in construction QA/QC systems, inspections, testing, and documentation.
* Proven ability to manage quality teams and coordinate with multiple project stakeholders.
* Strong understanding of ITPs, NCRs, QA/QC Plans, method statements, inspection records, and quality reports.
* Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
* Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
