Technical Manager - Design Department

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Technical Architect Manager – Design Department to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in architectural design, technical documentation, design coordination, and project management, with the ability to oversee design deliverables and ensure compliance with project requirements, applicable building codes, and local authority regulations. The candidate must be comfortable using AutoCAD and have proven experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing projects from design development through construction and handover.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the technical design department, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality design documentation.
• Review, coordinate, and approve architectural drawings, construction details, specifications, and technical submissions.
• Prepare, review, and modify drawings using AutoCAD as required.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, civil, and other engineering disciplines to ensure design consistency and resolve technical conflicts.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, local authority regulations, and project specifications.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, technical proposals, and construction-related documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and relevant authorities to address technical requirements and design issues.
• Monitor design progress, deliverables, quality standards, and project deadlines.
• Conduct site visits and provide technical solutions to design discrepancies and construction-related challenges.
• Provide technical guidance, supervision, and support to the design team.
• Identify opportunities for design optimization, constructability improvements, and value engineering.
• Establish and maintain design standards, workflows, and quality control procedures within the department.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in architectural design, technical coordination, or design management.
• Previous experience in the UAE is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, technical documentation, and building regulations.
• Good working proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, with the ability to review, edit, and prepare technical drawings independently.
• Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with BIM workflows will be an advantage.
• Proven experience in multidisciplinary design coordination and technical document management.
• Knowledge of UAE authority approval processes and applicable building regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate teams, and meet tight deadlines.
• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to design quality and technical accuracy.

Pay: From AED6,000.00 per month
