🚢 Technical Manager – Dry Docking | Lila Global

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager – Dry Docking to lead dry-docking projects, technical oversight, maintenance planning, and compliance activities across our fleet. This role is ideal for a marine engineering professional with strong expertise in vessel technical management, shipyard operations, budget control, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Lead and oversee dry-docking planning, execution, and project close-out for assigned vessels.

✅ Review technical specifications, repair scopes, quotations, and budgets to ensure cost-effective delivery without compromising safety or compliance.

✅ Monitor vessel technical performance, PMS completion, defect management, and maintenance effectiveness.

✅ Ensure compliance with Class, Flag State, statutory, and company technical requirements.

✅ Coordinate with shipyards, classification societies, service providers, vessel managers, and internal stakeholders.

✅ Support vessel acquisitions, technical due diligence, inspections, and resale activities.

✅ Drive technical KPIs related to vessel availability, maintenance performance, dry-docking execution, and budget adherence.

✅ Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

What We're Looking For:

🔹 Marine Engineering qualification or equivalent technical maritime background.

🔹 Significant experience in ship technical management and dry-docking supervision.

🔹 Strong understanding of marine machinery, planned maintenance systems, shipyard operations, Class and statutory requirements.

🔹 Proven experience in budgeting, cost control, procurement, vendor management, and technical reporting.

🔹 Excellent leadership, planning, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
