  • Use laboratory equipment such as pipettes, pH meters, spectrophotometers, and chromatography systems.
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities with team members to maintain an adequate supply of raw bioreagents.
  • Investigate production problems and identify opportunities for process or product improvement.
  • Assist with new laboratory procedures and product improvement protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and complete laboratory and manufacturing documentation.
  • Follow applicable GMP, GLP, quality system, and safety requirements.
  • Properly handle laboratory materials and observe all required safety precautions.
  • Communicate production issues, testing results, and material needs to appropriate team members.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience combinations:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, or a related scientific field; recent graduates are encouraged to apply, or
  • Associate degree in a relevant scientific field with one to two years of related laboratory experience, or
  • An equivalent combination of education and laboratory experience.

Experience or academic exposure involving one or more of the following is preferred:

  • Wet-bench laboratory techniques
  • Pipetting
  • pH meters
  • Titrations

  • High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
  • Gel electrophoresis
  • SDS-PAGE
  • ELISA assays
  • Analytical chemistry principles
  • In-process quality control testing
  • GMP or GLP environments

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to carefully follow written procedures, protocols, and manufacturing instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Basic understanding of analytical chemistry theories and laboratory practices.
  • Ability to recognize and communicate testing or production discrepancies.
  • Proficiency with common computer applications, including spreadsheet, database, word-processing, and manufacturing software.
