Technical Office Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and coordinate shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, material take-offs (MTOs), and bills of quantities (BOQs).
• Review project specifications, construction drawings, and contractual documents.
• Prepare technical submittals, material submittals, and method statements.
• Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Prepare and follow up on RFIs (Requests for Information) and technical clarifications.
• Monitor and update drawings to reflect design changes and site conditions.
• Assist in preparing progress reports, variation orders, and claims documentation.
• Ensure all technical documents comply with project requirements and applicable standards.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure timely submission of technical deliverables.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in a Technical Office Engineer role within the construction industry.
• Good knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and engineering standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with quantity surveying and BOQ preparation.
• Knowledge of shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical submittals.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
