Technical Office Team Leader

Job Summary

The Technical Office Team Leader manages the technical office function across all projects, leading a team of engineers/draftsmen responsible for shop drawings, as-built documentation, material submittals, and technical coordination between design, procurement, and site execution teams, including Data Center preparation documentation and submittals.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and supervise the technical office team (design engineers, draftsmen, document controllers).

* Review and approve shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical submittals before issuance.

* Coordinate with design, procurement, project management, and site teams to ensure technical consistency across all documents.

* Ensure drawings and submittals comply with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable standards.

* Manage material/equipment submittal process and technical approvals with consultants/clients.

* Track and maintain document control logs, revision status, and submittal registers.

* Support BOQ/take-off preparation and technical queries (RFIs) resolution.

* Prepare and review technical documentation, layouts, and submittals related to Data Center (DC) preparation and infrastructure readiness.

* Allocate workload across the team and ensure deadlines are met across multiple concurrent projects.

* Mentor and develop team members' technical and drafting skills.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering discipline.

Experience

* 8–12 years of experience in a technical office / design coordination role within MEP, ELV, or infrastructure projects.

* Minimum 3 years in a team leadership or supervisory capacity.

Technical Skills

* Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant drafting/design software.

* Strong knowledge of technical submittals, shop drawing processes, and document control systems.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with project management tools is a plus.
