About the role

Join a collaborative and highly skilled Anatomical Pathology team where your technical expertise will directly support the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services that make a real difference to patient care. In this varied role, you'll perform routine and complex histopathology procedures, including specialised staining, immunohistochemistry, frozen sections and diagnostic testing, while applying your knowledge to analyse, troubleshoot and continuously improve laboratory processes. • Qualifications that meet the National Pathology Accreditation Advisory Council (NPAAC) requirements for a Medical Scientist (AQF Level 7 or equivalent), with relevant pathology studies and experience in Anatomical Pathology and histopathology.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in histopathology techniques, including tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, specialised staining, frozen sections and immunohistochemistry, with the ability to accurately examine and gross simple specimens.
  • Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise work, maintain attention to detail, meet deadlines and work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
