Technical Operations Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Monitor application and infrastructure health, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents within defined SLAs.
• Automate operational tasks using scripting and Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
• Manage system upgrades, patching, backups, and disaster recovery activities.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and operational best practices.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes and system reliability.
• Strong understanding of OSS/BSS architecture, components, and technologies ( provisioning, billing, CRM, Order Manager).

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix administration.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong scripting skills in Shell, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or Dynatrace.
• Good understanding of networking concepts, DNS, Load Balancers, Firewalls, and SSL/TLS.
• Knowledge of incident management, change management, and ITIL processes is preferred.
• Knowledge of security best practices and vulnerability management.
