Key Responsibilities

• Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to resolve system and application issues.
• Perform application log monitoring, backup, maintenance, and analysis.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot load balancers; experience with Nginx is a plus.
• Troubleshoot networking issues related to routing, connectivity, VPNs, and other network components.
• Administer and support Linux-based environments.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation and operational tasks.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams, including software development and infrastructure teams.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) to identify the source of incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Document technical knowledge, troubleshooting procedures, and resolutions in knowledge repositories.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of applications and services.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution and continuous service improvement.

Requirements and Skills

• 5-8 years of experience as a Technical Support Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Linux administration.
• Proficiency in Shell Scripting.
• Experience working with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Good understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Experience with load balancer configuration and troubleshooting; Nginx experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Education

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Masters degree is an added advantage.
