What they need

Due to the installation of our new cutting-edge seed cleaning plant we are now looking for competent, trained operators to join the team in a 'Technical Operator' role. This role will be responsible for establishing the setup and operation of the plant, as well as training and supporting new operators and packers as they join the business.

There is scope for this role to progress into a Production Lead role in the future for the right candidate.

Job Description -

  • To operate, monitor, clean and maintain seed processing equipment to ensure the safe, efficient and accurate processing of agricultural seed products. The Plant Operator is responsible for maintaining product quality, meeting production targets, ensuring traceability, and complying with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

During the early stages of the build the role will be centered on supporting the maintenance, installation and setup of plant and equipment as well as working alongside the installation engineers, and our own Wherry Staff in building SOPs for the setup and operation of the plant and equipment.

Once the site is fully operational this role will diversify into the setup, operation and clean-down of the plant. The role would be centered on the plant operation, but there is an expectation of the operator flexibly covering breaks, holiday and absence on the packing plant.
